Ash Creek Photo
The Oregon Coast, Cascade Mountains, Columbia Gorge, and Canadian Rockies in Pictures
A small herd of Roosevelt elk grazes at the top of Cascade Head on the Oregon Coast. Several of these elk are bulls, but in mid-june 2008 they had barely started to regrow their antlers. Along with other members of the deer family, elk shed their antlers every winter after breeding season.
